Complement C4d is a highly specific complement activity marker for the classical and lectin pathway
Key Features:
Highly-specific, Reliable Measurement: The Complement System C4d assay targets a unique neoepitope only present in the C4d fragment, which enables specific assessment of complement activation and does not measure native C4 or other C4-fragments.
Easy-to-Use: The Complement System C4d assay includes ready-to-use reagents and offers short incubation times, reducing hands-on time and simplifying workflow.
Accelerate Drug Development: As an early activity marker in the classical and lectin pathways, C4d can help in evaluation of complement therapeutics targeting the upstream steps of the activation cascade.

The Complement System C4d ELISA is a colorimetric sandwich assay. Samples are diluted in assay diluent and 100µL diluted sample is transferred to the microtiter wells and incubated at room temperature for 60 minutes. During this first incubation C4d in the sample is captured by the anti-C4d-Neo monoclonal antibody, pre-coated on the surface of the microtiter wells. After washing to remove unbound material, a second horseradish peroxidase (HRP) labelled monoclonal antibody, that binds to both allelic variants of C4d (A and B), is added the to the well. After incubation for 30 minutes the wells are washed again, and a substrate is added and incubated. The color development is stopped after 30 minutes, and the color is measured in a spectrophotometer. The color is directly proportional to the amount of C4d bound to the well. The amount of C4d is determined by comparison to the color development of the calibrator samples.
1. What percentage of your IgE allergy testing panel consists of molecular allergens rather than allergen extracts? The ALEX2 IgE allergen panel consists of 117 extracts and 183 molecular allergens. This represents the largest panel of molecular allergens on the market, including 50 unique...
Cases of food and environmental allergies have been increasing over the last decade. While conservative estimates suggest IgE-mediated allergy affects 6-8% of children and 2-3% of adults, some estimates are as high as 30%.3, 2 Symptoms can range from mild to severe and include itching, hives,...
Food sensitivity or food intolerance involves a non-allergic response to a food or food additive. In a recent on-line survey conducted in the U.S., 24% of adults aged 18 to 79 reported a food intolerance. While a food allergy is typically mediated by IgE antibodies, adverse reactions to food...
The ALPCO Glucagon ELISA is for the quantitative determination of glucagon in human EDTA plasma. This assay was developed for ease-of-use and demonstrates superior sensitivity while eliminating cross-reactivity issues present in other commercially-available assays.
ALPCO’s automated turbidimetric solution for calprotectin testing offers enhanced efficiency without compromising clinical sensitivity or specificity. Clinicians can prioritize endoscopic evaluation for the patients that need it most and quickly put IBS patients on the right treatment path.
