- Inter-assay CV: 3%
For research use only. Not for use in Diagnostic Procedures.
Dickkopf-1 (DKK-1) is a 28,672 Da secreted protein that acts as soluble inhibitor of the wnt signalling pathway. This pathway involves lipid modied glycoproteins that activate cell surface receptor-mediated signal transduction to regulate cellular activities such as cell fate, proliferation, migration, polarity and gene expression. DKK-1 is also involved in the regulation of bone metabolism as it effects osteoblast differentiation and in the regulation of tumorigenic activity.
Research area interests include osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, colon carcinomas, multiple myeloma and breast cancer metastasis to bone.
