Rat Ultrasensitive Insulin ELISA
The Rat Ultrasensitive Insulin ELISA quantifies the concentration of insulin protein products in rat I and rat II proinsulin genes from as little as 5 µL of serum or plasma sample. For Research Use Only. Not for Use in Diagnostic Procedures.
- Only 5 µL of sample required for tail snips
- Dynamic range of 0.15-5.5 ng/mL
- Superior sensitivity of 0.107 ng/mL
- Only 25 µL of sample required for hypoinsulinemic samples
- Dynamic range of 0.02-1.0 ng/mL
- Superior sensitivity of 0.002 ng/mL
Utilizing a dual-monoclonal antibody sandwich ELISA format, bi-level control set, and 96-well microplate comprising removable strips, the Rat Ultrasensitive Insulin ELISA kit has the performance characteristics and flexibility necessary to confidently measure up to 40 samples in duplicate. The shelf-life of the components and the resealable microplate pouch allow for convenient storage for future use if an entire plate is not needed at one time.
The Rat Ultrasensitive Insulin ELISA is provided with seven standards designed to meet the needs of either very small sample size or very low insulin concentrations. For small samples, such as tail snip samples, use a sample size of 5 µL and the top five standards, 0.5 - 5.5 ng/mL. For hypoinsulinemic samples from a type 1 diabetes model or streptozotocin treatment, use a 25 µL sample size and the bottom five standards, 0.02 - 1.0 ng/mL.
