Webinar on Demand: Molecular Allergy Diagnostics – Principles and Methodology
In the webinar “Molecular Allergy Diagnostics – Principles and Methodology,” the basic principles of component-resolved allergy diagnosis, especially in comparison with conventional methods that are employing allergen extracts, are discussed. Differences between natural and recombinant allergens, allergen families, as well as cross-reactive carbohydrate determinants and their implications for IgE-serology will be covered. The webinar also includes clinical examples illustrating how this approach can help to improve accuracy and efficacy of allergy diagnosis. Dr. Lupinek discusses:
- Principles of component-resolved allergy diagnosis in comparison with conventional methods
- Differences between natural and recombinant allergens
- Cross-reactive carbohydrate determinants (CCD) and their implications for IgE-serology
- Clinical examples demonstrating improved allergy identification
