Webinar On-Demand: A Clinical Laboratory’s Perspective on Fecal Calprotectin Testing
Fecal calprotectin is a clinical test used as an aid in the differentiation of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) from irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and therapeutic monitoring in patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Over the years, numerous improvements have been made to fecal calprotectin assays, including development of more automated immunoassays and simple-to-use extraction devices. In this webinar, we will discuss how to validate and launch a FDA-approved assay. This will include a discussion of available platforms and tips for successful implementation of fecal calprotectin testing. We will also discuss the benefits of brining the testing in-house, which include reduced costs and improved turn-around-times.
Presenter: Dr. Heather Nelson, University of Utah School of Medicine, Department of Pathology
